Loyalty Balance Adjustments
We dont do retrospective loyalty transactions but there are times when we need to. Please let Stridey know what has occurred and he can make this right on the backend of the loyalty platform. Having the right detail such as Customers Name, Venue and Total Amount of the transaction will get this done quickly and avoid copiuous emails back and forth.
Taking Loyalty Transactions
Customers' bills should NOT be split into a part payment with loyalty and the other part with card. This will mean the customer does NOT collect the loyalty points in this transaction.
For example:- If a customer's bill is $150 and they use $10 worth of points and pay the remaining $140 by card. They will effectively miss out on $14 worth of loyalty points. This is an issue that is occurring in all venues and can work out to be 100's of dollars' worth of loyalty points per venue, per month that customers are not receiving.
The correct method for a customer's bills to be split is to split items up to as close to the value of the points as you can, and charge this off as Aura loyalty as a separate transaction. The remainder of the bill can then be paid for by cash or card, and the customer WILL receive the points for this payment.
For example:- The $150 bill above can be paid with a drink to the value of $10 being split off the bill into a separate bill (in the same way as you would split items when a group wish to pay separately for their meals) and charged off as Aura loyalty. Then the remainder of the bill can be paid by cash or card. This will mean the customer uses the points they would like to AND still receives the $14 worth of loyalty points.
